The Bristol American Legion Post 19 is a community-based family with an inherent philosophy based on service and support…to our Nation, State and most importantly, to the communities in which we live.  We offer assistance in many forms; moral, physical, emotional and financial.

Post 19 has raised and paid grants in the amount of over $45,000 during this fiscal year.

Some of the recipients of financial award are:

Boy’s State, scholarships, Boy Scouts of America, Bristol 4th of July Committee, Bristol Rescue Squad, Camp Downer 4H, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, Cub Scouts, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Green Mountain Council BSA, Lawrence Memorial Library, Legion baseball, Mt Abraham athletic programs, Mt Abraham Music Department, National MS Society, Salvation Army, Three Day Stampede, USO, Valley Magic Girls AAU Basketball, Vermont Military Family Assistance Fund, Vietnam Veterans of America Services Officer program and many, many more smaller grants and donations.

We have our “Hospital Shed”…full of medical equipment to lend out simply for the asking.  If  you need a wheelchair, walker, crutches, shower stool, etc…give us a call, maybe we can help.
